Sue Thomson is a skilled and experienced counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of life challenges. Sue’s goal is to help clients build fulfilling lives and relationships by providing a compassionate, non-judgmental, safe space for healing and growth.
As a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, Sue brings a client-centred and collaborative approach to therapy. Sue believes that our experiences, culture, relationships, and past events shape our well-being. By fostering validation and acceptance, she guides clients toward self-awareness, resilience, and positive change.
Sue tailors her methods to meet each client’s unique needs by utilising a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Trauma-Informed Practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Narrative Therapy. This empowers her clients to explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and draw on their own strengths and past successes to move forward with confidence.
