Penne Willner is an insightful and highly accomplished counsellor with many years of experience in the field. Penne holds registration with the Australian Counselling Association, and works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to address a broad range of emotional, psychological, behavioural, and relational challenges.
Penne is committed to ongoing professional development, to providing impactful and evidence-based practice for clients, and to working with those clients to identify the roadblocks to experiencing a flourishing life. With a belief that even small changes can bring about lasting improvement, she works with each client to implement effective strategies for change. Her practice is characterised by deep empathy and professionalism.
Penne believes that each person’s situation offers unique challenges and requires a response that is tailored to them. She uses a solution-oriented framework, focussing on supporting the client to move closer to their individual goals, by drawing upon a range of techniques and counselling modalities to offer a truly integrated experience. These include compassion-focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, internal family systems therapy, person-centred therapy, trauma – informed therapy, schema therapy, and Gottman Method Couples therapy.
