Mark Holland is a highly trained counsellor with many years of experience as a counselling professional. Mark has a master’s degree in counselling, post graduate degrees in psychology and education, an undergraduate science degree and is a registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. As well as working as a counsellor, Mark is also a fully qualified and registered Clinical Supervisor.
Mark is an insightful and respectful professional whose extensive science background ensures he is committed to providing clients with effective, evidence-based support. Throughout their counselling process, his clients gain insight and self-understanding as well as learning and practising evidence-based strategies for working through challenges and making genuine and lasting improvements in their lives. Mark creates a warm, respectful, collaborative and engaging environment in which clients can explore and better understand their concerns, receive personalised education and support, and develop effective skills and coping strategies.
Mark’s extensive training and experience enables individually tailored sessions and clinical approaches for each clients’ needs. He has an eclectic therapeutic style that includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and The Gottman Method of Couples and Relationship Therapy. Mark also has and uses an extensive range of educational resources and tools which help to enable a deeper understanding of many issues that arise during the counselling process. Mark’s focus is on supporting clients to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.
