Dora Oliver is a highly accomplished and regarded counsellor who has been in the field for more than 40 years. Dora holds memberships with the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of Victoria, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Association of Family Therapy. Dora provides services for adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families and as well as providing clinical supervision to other counsellors.
Dora accommodates her clients with a highly supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, completely free of judgement. Dora has a unique skillset and is committed to helping her clients identify underlying issues and areas for change using practical, effective counselling techniques. Her clients are warmly encouraged to explore their concerns with her, develop solutions, and embrace positive and lasting change.
Dora’s therapeutic approach is flexible; she adapts each session to the unique needs of each client. She works from a dynamic, humanistic approach. Therapeutic techniques that Dora uses in counselling include Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Dora is strongly committed to helping her clients achieve optimal wellbeing in all areas of life.
